My journey started some three years ago, over a few red wines with Maurice, one of the trainers at Northside. Walking in one Friday afternoon, unfit, overweight and unaware what I was getting into, I changed into my training gear ready to go. Thirty minutes into the hour session I blew a “gasket” and couldn’t continue, but vowed to return as I thoroughly enjoyed the workout and the challenge. Fast forward three years and recently being referred to as “The Skinny Guy”, I’m now taking the Monday sessions and in the process have successfully completed the Level 1 Boxing certificate. The session’s emphasis is to provide you a full body workout through bag work, ring simulation and body weight exercises with the goal to improve individuals fitness and self-esteem.
Monday night sessions are designed for all fitness and skill levels and no one is too young or old to join in and have fun, where individual fitness goals will be realised through hard work and dedication
