I have been training at the Northside Boxing Gym for approximately 10 years. Initially I joined to improve my health & fitness as well as having an interest in boxing. Thanks to the dedication of the coaching staff who are volunteers, my fitness & boxing skills improved. With their help & support this gave me the confidence to compete in the Masters Games in 2015.
In 2017 wanting to help out more in the gym, I completed a boxing trainers course and began taking boxing classes. My classes are a mixture of technique & cardio with an emphasis on HIIT, (High Intensity Interval Training). I believe training should be challenging but also fun and in a safe environment.
Northside to me is a place where you can come and train, improve your skills, make friends and experience a sense of community where everyone is welcome.
